Wondered if anyone had any advice
i work in full time employment but am looking into apprenticeships as a way into a better wage and career. We currently receive CTC,WTC and some HB due to low income and obviously CB
Myself and partner have a 9 month old child, partner looks after her at home
Wondered what our entitlement to benefits would be to help support us during this 2 year period when im training?

Even a stopped clock tells the right time twice a day, and for once I'm inclined to believe Withnail is right. We are indeed drifting into the arena of the unwell.

Will your apprenticeship be college or employment based? What income will you get from it?0

It will depend on your age to start with if you are 16-18 you will definatley get the training for free it would just be a matter of calling all of your local colleges to find out if they run the course you want to take. If however you are 19+ (there is no upper limit at the moment) there may be a cost to either yourself or your employer, this will vary dependant on the college you go to, I have a couple of colleges near me and one is asking for a contribution of 25% of the cost of the course (this could be over £1000) and another is asking for £250 no matter what course they are doing.
Most Apprenticeships will include one day at college (this could be more or some courses do not need any college attendance at all) but this will again depend on the college's requirements.
I noticed also that you had put about the £95 per week this is no longer the case and now Apps must be paid at least £2.50 per hour.
Any other benifits you may be getting do not matter as these will not be affected the only thing as far as I am aware that you cannot claim on an apprenticeship is EMA/ALG.
I hope this helps0
