How would my tax credit change

hi all, i live with my son who is an apprentice and a daughter who is at sixth form. i only claim WTC and CTC for my daughter, my son gives me a little board out of his small wage. i work 28 hours a week but i might be offered an extra 4 hours taking me to 32 hours. how would this affect my WTC would it be cut by a lot.

You might find it actually increases slightly, or stays around the same due to the 30 hour element. If you go onto HMRC's website, and do their 'do I qualify' section for tax credits, it should give you a breakdown for what you would expect to receive between now and April 2011. Be sure to include all income in it. Make sure of course that you use your new income shoud you increase hours to 32

thankyou for the advice i will take a look. i was told by a friend that i probably wouldn't qualify for the 30+ part of tax credits because i have not had a break in my employment, but looking at the site wont hurt me.
