Thanks for that Forris. My parcel arrived today :j-surprise surprise, it was left at the local post office after a card had been placed through the door.Against policy I believe, so after the non delivery to another address they have broke the rule again :(.Think the branch should have some retraining. Thanks for all your help on this one

why do you feel its against policy for PF to leave a parcel at a post office?

"The manager is very, very wrong. GLS parcels must not be left with a neighbour or taken to a Post Office (Local Collect). This has always been the case. My depot (and I'm assuming all depots) produce a sheet that shows which senders do not allow delivery to neighbours or PO counters. GLS is always on the list as no to both."

If you read the above post by Forris it explains that GLS consignments can only be delivered to the address stated on the order.Forris is going to post the information for future reference.

but i dont see the difference
    attempted delivery at the address
    card left
    you go and collect it
why does the collection point matter?

If you read the full post it makes perfect sense. The first attempted delivery was made to an incorrect address or signed for by the driver.I never received the package.PF broke their own policy. They then did it again by taking it to the local post office. It didnt bother me-I collected the parcel.PF are the ones in the wrong-they are breaking the rules set by GLS and themselves.
