Selling on Amazon
Comments
-
I understand that the rate of commission is quite high but I am interested to know as to how much success people have had with it.
Thanks in advance.
There are Amazon book sellers who do it as a full time job and make a living at it. I used to make a fair bit month on month, but my sales are dying , I blame the kindle, and i am at the stage of probably giving up pro membership after Christmas and concentrating only on high end books.
As with all things though it depends if you can find that elusive stock of books that is both regular and profitable. You need to be constantly listing, keeping a high turnover to make real money. i have around 1300 books listed now and am barely selling the 30 a month I need to cover my pro membership. If RM put their postage up again next year I will almost certainly have to give up.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. ive just started selling my recently not needed uni books..

so far, the only way i've made money is by buying books i wanted to read myself and then reselling. they are in the most obscure titles and hence i can name my own price (-ish.) some sales have been stunning - truly, when i count them up at end of year i was taken aback - but i am not in a position to do this as a job and i'd hate to rely upon it for income. there are a lot of power sellers out there who, like tescos can sell you a 1p book - you'd be a mug to think you can match them. jolly nice when you can buy a bargain from 'em though...0

woo hoo! sold one! although to be fair, it's one in the thousands and not in the millions!
I won't make much on it after postage and fees etc. but then again, it's £2.50 I didn't have and, as they say, every little helps!0 -

Don't forget it needs to be posted within 2 working days and don't forget to mark it sent once it has gone, otherwise you don't get paid. Also keep your proof of posting for 6 months, just in case you need to claim from RM.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
