So your grandparents enjoy playing computer games or is this for the grandchildren when they visit ?
From what I have seen, you can buy a decent gaming laptop for less than a grand.
My Toshiba Qosmio cost about £1300 and I could now get a replacement with similar spec for about £700.The comments I post are personal opinion. You cant replace the graphics card in the laptop as its integrated. Therefore you cant put a price on it.ASUS G73JH-TZ008V
I just checked the specs on that and its miles ahead of what he had. Its a bit like writing off a Ford Cortina and expecting a new Porsche as a replacement. I am sure he would like that one but there is no chance.
The HP one seems a close match although personally I wouldnt want an Athlon chip at the moment in a laptop.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). and how old/what is the model of your qosmio?
i know the gpu is integrated however a motherboard with that gpu usually retails around £4000 -

now i know that he is being optimistic with the asus however i think the qosmo x500 is a fair exchange.
however that still leaves a £600 difference in price they are willing to offer.0 -

Why don't you contact Toshiba or authorised outlet to ask them what model they would consider is a like for like replacement spec wise. If they confirm the details in writing, pass to the Insurers for their consideration.
My Laptop is an F20, purchased over 4 years ago. I have looked at various models looking at the specs (not what was paid) and I can get virtually the same for about £700. But it is not easy to compare, as some features are better and others not.The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums.
