Abbey e saver Direct same as the Santander e saver issue 2?

I transferred from the e saver to the better interest of the e saver direct, two years ago. Can't find the "Direct" account on their website....so don't know what interest I'm getting. The issue 2 is currently paying 2.75%.

    If you opened the account two years ago it is pretty much a racing certainty that you are not getting anywhere near the best rate.

    Probably right, and the present Issue 2 has no withdrawal penalties unlike the "Direct". So that suggests they are different accounts...I think.

    TheSantander e-saver(2) pays a bonus of 2.25% for one year after opening.

    Once you do not get that bonus any longer, the interest rate drops down to just 0.5%.
