Xbox live/Bt Infinity/Homeplug??

Has anyone had good results with Xbox live using a homeplug?? Just about to have BT Infinity installed but the Homehub will have to be moved downstairs next to main phone socket (currently on upstairs landing). My son has an ethernet cable running out of his bedroom door to the homehub at the moment and our choices are…

I have used Homeplugs in an extension and they work fine ...the transfer speed is just a little bit lower ....mine are 85Mbit plugs and usually show an actual connection speed of around 80Mbit. This drops to about 60 - 70Mbit if used in an extension.
