Mobile registration necessary for bank insurance?

Am I about to lose out?
I have a RBS Royalties account, so pay £6.95 monthly. I have never been asked to register my mobile for the inclusive insurance... There is nothing in the T&C and nothing comes back from a google search.
I only ask as I just accidentally damaged it, can I still claim?
Thanks!

It does say on this page http://www.rbs.co.uk/personal/current-accounts/g1/extra-benefit-accounts/royalties.ashx#tabs=section2Cover commences 21 days after registration
I know I had to register my phone for Lloyds TSB phone insurance with the Silver Account and notify them if I ever change my phone so it is still covered.0 -
You've quoted the part which tells you the mobile has to be registered.
Just in case you missed it:-RBS wrote:Protection - register for Mobile Phone insurance and you're covered for one mobile phone and SIM card against accidental or malicious damage, loss and theft up to a value of £750.
It also states on the website:-RBS wrote:Conditions apply to benefits. Full details of all the Royalties account benefits are contained in the Service Guide you will receive after you convert your account.
You should have received this document when you opened the account. It's common practice to register for mobile phone insurance, similar to Helix's experience, I have to register my mobile details with my Bank of Scotland URCA to qualify for cover.Anything I post is my opinion, so from time to time I may be wrong. I try to provide answers based in fact, however I don't know everything, so (like all posters on MSE), take what I say with a pinch of salt.0 -
No registration = no claim now - sorry.0
