Hi,

I'm on the EDF Energy Online v5 standard Direct Debit. I've just received my latest quarter bill and the discounts seem to have changed but I don't remember being told about the change. Prior to this bill I was getting £24 exc vat per year dual fuel discount credited to my gas account and £16 exc vat per year dd discount on my gas and £8 exc vat per year dd discount on my electricty.

This latest bill shows dd discount on my electricy bill and dd discount and dual ful discount on my gas but they are obviously no longer the discounts on my previous bills.

I've tried to find this info on the edf web site but have failed. All I found was mention of a 6% discount but mine are not that.

Anyone know where to find the discounts applied to a online v5 standard direct debit account? and for that matter the current prices per kwh in the 2 bands.

UPDATE: The reason I am looking at this is that they want to increase my gas dd from £59 pm to £85pm.

Thanks

I thinkk the online V5 finished quite some months ago, you should have been informed. I was, you automatically would have been put onto a standard tarriff.
Ring them up and ask to go on the V6 online saver. quite a big difference, You have to be locked into it till June 11 but thats not too far away.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.

Thanks for the reply. If v5 finished months ago then how does my latest bill dated 27 sept which arrived yesterday still say online v5 standard direct debit?

I see v7 is the latest on their web site and the various comparison sites suggest v7 would actually be more expensive for me (by £46 per year).

After some searching around I have indeed had a letter saying the v5 finished 1 August 2010 and I have been moved onto the standard tariff (my wife seems to have filed the letter away and I don't recollect seeing it).

The dd discount is 6% and the dual fuel discount is £8.40 (less than before). The prices are:

    electricity
    first 22kWh 18.96p exc vat
    remaining kWH 9.37p

    gas
    first 670kWh 7.000p exc vat
    remaining kWh 2.891p

    Thanks for the pointer.
