Vehicle Leasing and Poor Credit Rating
Hope someone can help.
I'm looking at leasing a car (probably Skoda Octavia or similar) and have a budget of about £250pm.
The problem I have is that my credit rating is poor. I've lived in my place for 3 years, but the council screwed up my Electoral Register entry for two years, so I've only just got it sorted out.
I've missed some payments on bills and mortgage, although that has now been rectified.
Can anyone recommend a company that leases cars to people with poor credit ratings. Has anyone ever done this?
Cheers
Steve

If you have less than perfect credit then the companies that you can chose from are also less than perfect, they will charge more and more than likely be less than flexible.
You are better off just getting a car that you can afford to buy, I know loads of people that have used finance companies that "help" those with poor credit and the lease companies that do the same act in the same way.
Unless you need a new car directly to make a living, eg minicab driver, then just don't bother, not worth the aggro, there was also a couple of firms that advertised this service in WhatCar a few years ago that just took your deposit and never delivered your car.0
