Pipex taken over by TalkTalk

I have been with Pipex since they took over my previous phone provider, now they are being taken over by TalkTalk so I'm looking at my options.
I was originally thinking about going to Sky and taking their line rental and Talk Unlimited as well as broadband unlimited (moving from Orange), but I see that leads to problems if you want to leave, not something I want to risk.
What are my best options?

I think you're lucky and Pipex has not LLU'd your exchange (had they done so, your only option would have been to go back to BT on a 'return to donor' basis and agree to a 12 month contract for line rental).
http://www.samknows.com/broadband/exchange/WNHRTime has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0 -
