That's not true in most cases. If an ISP uses their own LLU equipment, you still pay BT for your line rental and calls. The only part of your signal that is unbundled is your broadband.
You don't pay anything to BT only if you sign up for a fully unbundled package.
In the OP's case. If their ISP has said they are switching to LLU, it will only affect the broadband signal unless they are offering, and the OP signs up for a new full phone/internet deal. If the phone and internet deal isn't offered, or taken (as in a lot of cases), then you still have to pay BT line rental. How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?

To summarise:
LLU is when an ISP installs their own equipment at the exchange.
In the UK, you usually have two scenarios:
FULL - LLU: When an ISP controls both the VOICE and ADSL aspect of your line. In most cases, this means that you do not pay BT Line Rental.
For example, Bulldog Broadband.
SEMI - LLU: When an ISP controls only the ADSL aspect of your line. In most cases, you still pay BT Line Rental.
For example, Bethere
Hope this helps as the users above have not given clear answers.
