Also, to that end if anyone has any amazing ideas on this front Id love to hear them! Especially if it means I can use my new Big Shot when it arrives!

I run a business (nothing in the slightest to do with crafting!) - I would like to do something cool for my clients for Xmas rather than the usual send a box of Thorntons Christmas Continentals or Hotel Chocolat Christmas box set to each of them!!

Has anyone any cool ideas re: what I could do that would be homemade -ish (dont mind if I buy some indgredients i.e. the Elizabeth Shaw mints in the other crafts) but still a bit "corporate" for want of a better expression - I cant see myself sending the gorgeous sweetie bags Ill be making for friends is all I mean - needs to be a bit more formal if you what I mean -

Any thoughts or is is back to Thorntons/Hotel Chocolat?! Might be asking a bit much!?!

    xx

My plea got stuck on the bottom of last page thought it might get lost!

This sounds like a wonderful challenge to me, I'll get my thinking cap on, but I have a project you might like on my craft table at this very moment but I've just not had chance to photograph yet. .......

If you are buying/have bought a BigShot then it might be worth you looking at the Sizzix Bigz XL dies - but you would have to get the extra long plates to use them with. Sizzix do some brillant box dies ..... they may be just want you want for a corporate - but homemade-yet professional look .......

What extra's do I need to get to add to the Big Shot Express to use other dies? You mentioned some other plates - are they easy to adapt to use all dies? Would I then be able to use all Sizzix dies?
    Thanks as ever!
Although you have a lot to answer for - your wonderful crafting ideas have turned me into a mad obsessive - when Im not working/cleaning/washing/sorting out the kids Im on my laptop ordering new craft items/looking for new ideas/on this forum!! My husband wonders whats happened to me now and Im thinking of buying a starter sewing machine to take up that little craft again - oh dear oh dear oh dear! Where will the time come from!!!!

  • This is my festive version on my desk at mo ...... I am going to put white bon bons in mine.

    Picture%20669_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800

    Picture%20670_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800

Have cut the box die out (there are several parts to the die) in pale blue card.

Put the various parts together and laid flat on table.

Have put white glitter paper/card to each side in curved layers to look like snow.

Have used used Uni-ball signo white gel pen to doodle small snowflakes.

Have added penguins from set of stickers available from Accessorize (clothes shop, childrens area) - the Christmas trees are left over from Accessorize stickers from last year.

Have added tiny wobbly eyes to penguins.

Have added a few very small clear gems to the sky area for extra bling.

Have finally put the box together!

    Voila!

But ..... this die costs about £28.00 and you do need the extra long cutting pads to use on BigShot.

Another idea for teachers I have done was to make these post it holders. They were more fiddly than I thought they would be because of all the matts I had to cut and stick, but these were well received as well:

I made these for the end of summer term, but you could alter the image to make a bit more Christmassy.

I'll dig out the instructions on how to make them if anyone would like it.

yes please, I'd love the instruction please CT

Loving all the great ideas on here :T
... don't throw the string away. You always need string! :D

  • To use Sizzix Bigz XL dies you need a set of these

They are extra long cutting pads - as the box dies are very long .

They are £10.49 at the moment - the above company are brilliant to use and I cannot recommend more highly.

    Hope this helps
