  • Sorry to be dim, Love the reindeer poop and noses and was thinking I would need Nestabilities set, scalloped cutter, circle cutter, silver pen, cello bags and sweets. What paper do you use or is it just any? Do I need a machine to use the nestability thingymabob in or is it ready to go? What do you glue the tag on with? Oh so many questions for you I'm sorry :o

  • SORRY< SORRY< SORRY< SORRY

I am sorry I haven't poked my head in for a few pages ..... this thread seems to have become VERY busy .... as I have been and I know I need to answer a few questions!!!!

Some of you may know that I write two blogs (yes I am totally mad) one which is all singing all crafting and the other which is all fun called Mum's Monkey" about my two soft toy monkeys ................ well I have fallen right back with the Monkey one .... and need to write about 7 posts this weekend to keep it going ...... for both of my blogs I write a lot of posts well ahead of myself and then schedule them, there is no way I could right the up on a daily basis)

The white gel pen I use is a Uni-ball Signo - they really are the best white pens I have found - available from most good stationers - I always have a couple in my in my pen pot because I couldn't bare to be without one.

I have two other white pens from another company in my pot but they really are rubbish, blobby, poor quality writing and forever - not writing at all.

TOP TIP - if your gel pen won't write tap it on the nib end several times ... it should help the ink to flow.

But I swear by the Uni-ball ones

    For Jungliemac and others xxxx

    I am worrying ....

I am worrying about people spending lots of money on equipment to make sweetie bags and have to agree with Qwiksave .... if you are not a crafter you don't need all the fancy stuff.

I would hate to think someone has bought a die cutter and nestabilities to make a few sweetie bags because of me!

Take heed of Quiksaves words ......

If you haven't got a die cutting machine and only need to do a few of these for christmas presents, you don't necessarily need the nestibilities. If you spend too much your sweet treats could end up costing you £100! :D Not very mse! ;)

When I made this Easter pack, I just drew around a curvy picture frame and cut it out.

You don't HAVE to do the circle bits either, but if you do, find something to draw around :money:;)

To this end - over the weekend I am going to try to put together a short tutorial that will help new crafters ..... using basic stuff and post it here ..... xxxx

How do they send the dies Craftgranny? Is it Royal Mail? Not always in to sign for couriers deliveries!!!

What would you say the best label sets are to get in the early days - Just about to buy the Big Shot Express - I particularly want to do the sweet bag toppers that Helen does so well! I think Helen said set 4 - what would you all advise? I dont mind buying a couple for choice!

Helen - dont worry Im not buying the big shot just for that reason - Id like to get into crafting in a much bigger way!!!

Flourgirl forgot to say last night the snowman is a stamp. I borrowed him from kaitlyn she got him from the range last year.

Also, to that end if anyone has any amazing ideas on this front Id love to hear them! Especially if it means I can use my new Big Shot when it arrives!

I run a business (nothing in the slightest to do with crafting!) - I would like to do something cool for my clients for Xmas rather than the usual send a box of Thorntons Christmas Continentals or Hotel Chocolat Christmas box set to each of them!!

Has anyone any cool ideas re: what I could do that would be homemade -ish (dont mind if I buy some indgredients i.e. the Elizabeth Shaw mints in the other crafts) but still a bit "corporate" for want of a better expression - I cant see myself sending the gorgeous sweetie bags Ill be making for friends is all I mean - needs to be a bit more formal if you what I mean -

Any thoughts or is is back to Thorntons/Hotel Chocolat?! Might be asking a bit much!?!

    xx

Moosetastic I saw your Fairy/Cheeky Monkey gifts (like snowman soup but milkshake) on the other thread - where did you course your smoothie cups from?
