I'm planning to make a large christmas tree door hanger with red buttons for berries. I'll add a loop to each figure so that they hang on the buttons.

Yup .... we do ..... nothing original in the idea! LOL - most 'ideas' I have are not original ..... just the same old ideas going round and round .... different materials etc .....

Im off to the US in November going to have a look over there for some baby socks as i can never find any over here

It's so good to see this back! :T I have already started my Christmas bits and bobs ... Sorry, no pictures as of yet, as the other half has got the camera on holiday with him.
FlyingPig - I am cursing myself now, I got rid of all of the baby's socks, as now he is one, he is waaaay too big for them.
However Cuddles, you may have saved the day, I can knit some, and make an advent stocking washing line!

I used Alan Dart's Advent Tree pattern, but changed a few things.

Quite fiddly, but very enjoyable to do.
Think I'm going to knit more mini stockings as name tags.

If anyone has a Boyes near them they're starting to put out their Christmas Crafts range.

There's lots of Christmas stickers for the cards and various stamps and all sorts - and also things like this...




The eyes are 99p a pack (12 in the larger one and 10 in the smaller) for all choc orange reindeer etc - and the reindeer stickers are £1.50 a pack. There are all sorts from santa's, snowmen, trees, santa heads, full reindeers, shiny sorts etc. I didn't get chance to get a pic of the stand cos they were just putting it out. Will try get one next time I'm in.


[happy to help post etc if noone has a store near them but I am running on slow as my grandfather has broken his elbow and I'm at his pretty much all the time atm so please bear with me ]
