I have been reading this thread for the past few days and am very impressed with everyone's Christmas crafts! Would love to try and make some home made gifts myself this year so grabbing lots of tips from you all, thanks :D I have a few questions if anyone can help...

The reindeer poop bags - very cute How do you cut the label so neatly, can they be bought somewhere? What size of bags do you use and where do you buy them?

Some people use die cuts in a die cutting machine to make the toppers. I was very lucky, :D I managed to get a cheap frame (99p) from a charity shop which I draw around, cut out and fold in half. :money:

My treat bags are the bigger ones in a different shape though.

    This is the frame:

I haven't made any Christmas bags yet, but my Easter one was like this:

For those on a budget, a frame like this might be worth looking out for. ;)
I don't want to make money, I just want to be wonderful

LittleMissMoneyPenny, there is also a tutorial in here somewhere, where FlyingPig has shown how us who don't have such crafting tools such as a die-cutting machine can do them. I'll have a look back and see if I can find it for you :)

I love the 'Yappy Christmas' doggy bags, so definitely intend to have a go at making those! Bought a huge bag of dog biscuits from Home Bargains today for 99p, so will get loads of bags out of that!

Have just been dying my hair and saved the applicator bottle. Thought it would make an ideal glue dispenser, for the likes of PVA glue. The nozzle has a screw on tip, so ideal for popping back on.

Will I ever switch off from crafting??? I doubt it.
  • Evening All,

Lovely boxes cuddles they look great.

Littlemissmoneypenny - you can always just use a rectangle piece of card and then fold it in half as a topper. i do this quite a lot even though i do have plenty of craft tools:D.

Here are a few things i have made today:-

Wow...what a brilliant idea - especially as I have that very same frame, in fact 2 of them.....thanks so much for sharing that idea
We don't need to do it perfectly - good enough is exactly that GOOD ENOUGH.

  • If I sprayed hairspray over my finished collage would it be sticky? I need something that wont seep through newsprint - so varnish I think wont do. Can anyone recommend me a strong hairspray that wont be sticky (is there such a thing?)
