hello all - been reading with interest. I make silver fingerprint jewellery and my friend has asked that I set up a stall with her at a local school xmas fayre at the end of November. I wanted some ideas of things I could personalise to sell alongside my silver charms and have had lots of inspiration from here. Ill be making some countdown calanders and 2011 calanders. Im also going to make some small mixed media childrens canvases which I will personalise.
I have a Q ... can anyone recommend a cheap varnish I can apply over acrylic and paper to a canvas? I want to ensure my creation stays put and a clear matt varnish is what I need - I have no clue about varnish. I would need to get it online too (a non-driver nowhere near a hobby craft).
Lovely things everyone :money: Saving money, saving the environment and saving space (aka decluttering) - my motto this year!0 -
Hi everyone brilliant makes love the origami flowers, brilliant.
i got no crafting done last night, had to take my 1yr old to hospital for a check up as she tripped on her blanket and im positive she bit her tongue as there was blood but no cuts on her gums, when i picked her up as she was crying and holding her breath she went floppy and started having a fitscared the life out of me,i was just on the my way to call an ambulance when i managed to bring her round, she was straight back to her normal playful self not long after and i bathed her and fed her and she was fine but took her to hospital for peace of mind.i was still shaking for a long time after.
anyway ive managed to get alot of my orders done up until yesterday and will be carrying on with more today,i have got 8 of the little boxes to make for customers just hope i have enough card now :eek:0 -

That is soo stunning! :T
A little bit of gold somewhere would make it stand out even more. Maybe you could lightly spray paint the edge of the flowers or insert gold pipe cleaners as stamens(?)
Perfect! never thought of gold spray! that would catch the light aswell tyyyyyyySPC No 002 SPC(3) £285/£250 (4) £519.84/£500 (5) £768.32/£500 (6) £911.30/£600 (7) £913.23/£600 (8) £1184.82/£750 (9) £2864.04/£750 (10) £3846.25/£1000 (11) £1779.72/£1000 (12) £1596.55/£1000 (13) £1534.70/£1000 (14) £775.60/£1000 (15) £700.20/£1000 (16) £2081.34/£1000 (17) £1691.15/£1000 (18) £225/£10000 -

Can someone please point me in the right direction on a couple of things?!?
1) I want to buy a 2" scalloped square, 2" scalloped circle, 1.5" plain square & 1.5" plain circle punch. Where can I find these? I'm struggling to get them on ebay and don't know where else to look
2) I have some A4 card that I am going to cut in half width ways (so it's A5?) then fold into a card. Is this an A6 card? Do I need A6 envelopes?
3) What size bags are best for doing the poop bags?! Was thinking I could buy the bigger bags then cut in half so I get double the amount and seal on a heat sealer so they don't need to be self adhesive.
Thanks in advance for you help everyone!0 -
You could make personalised stationary sets witht he pretzel bags - nice card topper (like the sweet ones), cover small notepads and add an initial (a slicker or cut from paper), sparkly pencil and a rubber. Im sure all bits could be found cheaply in poundstrecher. awould make lovely stocking fillers.:money: Saving money, saving the environment and saving space (aka decluttering) - my motto this year!0
