Have finally finished my first origami flower table decoration, not sure if it needs a little something else though

Maybe you could add a small christmas bauble in the centre of your beautiful lillies to make it christmassy but safe

I cant keep up!! There are so many gorgeous new makes and I havent made enough of the things I'd already seen!!
Ordered the cupcake holders for the flannel cupcakes so they will be this weekend's make if they arrive in time!
BTW lovely ladies, anyone any advice for keeping a 2 yr old in bed past 5am? My two kids have always been really good sleepers - go down no problem at 7pm but the littlest has started getting up at 5am (sometimes 4am!) and wont go back - not conducive to an energetic household - at least not for Mummy & Daddy - it doesn't bother her!!!
  • Jakes mum, your arrangement is really stunning - well done. :T

Emmamumof2 - I share your pain :(. My youngest (3) was awake at 10 to 5 this morning and wouldn't go back to sleep. I ended up bringing him in bed with us so he wouldn't wake his brother (whom he shares a room with) up :(
It's easier to get forgiveness than to ask permission ;)

Sorry if it's already been asked but where on ebay-9or anywhere else for that matter) can i get cellophane bags and what size please for the various poops-do i need square or cone shaped? help please, i'm a real novice at this-never done proper crafting before and i'm itching to have a go!!!

    Just has a think and realised that Cupcake holders are really easy to make;

Take a piece of card and fold into a cone shape. Put a cupcake case inside and draw a line loosely around the top. Use a felt tip

    393261706.jpg

let go of the cone and you should have a nice curved line. Cut around the line, then squash your cone and cut a similar line from the bottom using your big curve as a guide

    393261712.jpg

You might have to play about with how long/wide you want it. When you are happy place on paper of your choice and draw round. I used a pair of decorative scissors to cut my top line

    393261715.jpg

Us a bit of DS tape to affix and voila. This was done in a bit of a rush to share with you all so I would probably faff around quite a bit more and I used a punch to cut some pretty holes in the top. The paper used is not very nice either.

I will not be paying for these, that's for sure.

    Hope you like.

    Great minds think alike,lol.:T

  • Flyingpig58 It would be great to have another thread after christmas you have given a lot of people inspiration:D

Jakesmum Well done your table decoration is gorgeous I would cut the wick of a candle but I do love candles:D

Emmamumof2 All my kids have had sleep problems and still do so I know what is like to be woken at a stupid hour. It might be though that she has just got into the habit of waking at that time I would try giving her some phenergan if it continues I did this with mine for a week and then stopped it and it worked helped her sleep for longer although doesnt work with DS but he is on a sedative now from the Drs as he has lots of medical problems. You can get it from the chemist its for travel sickness but has a small amount of sedative in it.

I am starting to panic now 18 days until the craft fair and I still have loads to do need to go and get the stuff today to do pints of socks how many pairs of socks do you use for yours?

I am still waiting for the mini marshmellows I ordered to turn I just hope they are here soon:eek:

A little bit of gold somewhere would make it stand out even more. Maybe you could lightly spray paint the edge of the flowers or insert gold pipe cleaners as stamens(?)

Wow = the great ideas just keep on coming. Well done everyone.

I have cut out 4 more Gingerbread Men as I'm going to give one to each female family member with the Perfect Man poem.
Have covered all my CDM miniatures and need to decorate and personalise them as I'm going to use them as name tags on my present bags. Hoping this will work, and thinking about how to attach them.
