Here is a photo of the Countdown Calendar my 7 year old grandaughter made yesterday, she did all the cutting and sticking apart from I stuck the SLEEPS letters on and cut the numbers out. She absolutely loves making things, and makes loads of mess, but the end results are usually worth it.

Well done to your grandaughter I can see who she follows :D

Hollie love the bah humbug beg and the sweet bouquet.

Nothing done here today I cut that many reindeers heads last night that I really needed a break tonight and DS has not been well all day so there was no chance of getting anything done :(

amymac well done on getting to the range while you were away.

Mary-op Goodluck with your plan for the weekend I really need to sort my xmas presents but just dont seem to have time at the moment.

My mum has finished knitting hats and scarfs for my sock monkeys and I havent even finished making them:eek:

Plan for the weekend is finish getting the reindeer food done and post some pics when they are done :D

I like this one but it's not very christmassy but i'll keep looking for you.

Here's the first verse from a really long one but you may be able to adapt it to suit you

Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care
In hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there.
My dogs were nestled, all snug in "MY" bed,
While visions of chewie toys danced in their heads.

  • Talking of dogs I went out wednesday and whilst we were gone the dog managed to find his christmas stocking I came home to find the wrappers all over my bedroom floor

still at least it wasnt the chocolates this year!

Hubby brought home some unwanted keys from work today so I have made 12 santa keys with the newish ones - the others I need to try and clean with something before I can package them.

After a lot of faffing with the sizes, I've made my first Snowman soup :) Big mistake opening the bag of mini marshmallows though as I had to do a taste test :)

I've also wrapped 3 of the Aldi lollies but need to decorate still so i am going shopping for suitable embellishments tomorrow :)
    ooh what lollies are these??

Hi Hollie, there are some christmas chocolate lollies in Aldi, pack of 9 for 99p, either santas, reindeer or snowmen. They are individually wrapped, this is what I have done with them -

You're so very special, I wish I was special

  • Hi .... been a bit busy .... but I'll try and answer a couple of the questions added to the thread since I last looked

Saint-Chris - the oven tempreture is written on the pens - I think it varies from pen to pen.

Macpepl - sorry can't remember where I had the blue paper from.

Re Sizzix Boutique - I bought one from QVC - but have only used it a couple of times ..... I think it's because I am not a great fan on the embossed look - and to be honest you can emboss using a cuttlebug, sizzix any way.

Rebekah R - I got my Porcelain pens from HobbyCraft -

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Marabu-Porcelain-Painter-5-Gloss-Pens-Standard-Colours-/140454449790?pt=UK_Crafts_Children_s_Crafts_EH&hash=item20b3bcd27e

I found these for you ...... - just put in Porcelain Painter paint in the search box - and quite a few come up. The link I have added is for a set of 5.

Bitsy Beans - not promising ..... but I'll try and do you some humbug paper on my computer .... give me a day or two.

Kelly- Lou - Beer mats - glue paper to mat and let to dry. Use quite a thickish paper - it doesn't seem to bubble and wrinkle so much. When dry trim with small sharp pointy scissors.

I've come up with this - I've put it in PDF - like my other downloads.

You cant see it in the picture ... but the stripes consist of a middle brown and then it has two sides in a darker brown - so it looks a bit more realistic.
