I understand your point too, but what makes this person deserve any more of a chance than anybody else in that competition, fair enough make the competition known, but at least let people make their own minds up

Competitive edge No one deserves our votes more than another but at the end of the day if people want to help a friend of a friend then they will!

When i voted last night Neil Penny was 3rd so I am pretty confident that the other photo owners at the top of the chart have got friends work mates etc etc voting for them just because they know them or someone knows them - i see this as the same thing only OP very enterprising:D

As for your previous post - ok perhaps this could be in another thread however very few people have complained and it hasn't been moved - so i think its just a nice thing to do for someone - they obviously want to win and whats the harm??

I voted as OP seemed nice and wanted to help and picture had a nice backdrop(might have left it if picture was total rubbish)...we all have free will so no one has to vote if they dont want to. Just move on to another post.
I also feel that this whole site has a feeling of strong community sometimes so often want to help others .
