Day one for me tomorrow, alarm will be set for 6am so I can get it done. I've been trying to get my head round the distance. It's more or less the entire length of a motorway we use quite regularly :rotfl:Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches :think:Loves being a Wonderbra friend :kisses3:

What's that Sammy says.....eat the elephant one bit at a time. If you think about the whole distance now it will overwhelm you. Set yourself mini targets and try to achieve those. I doubt even the best prepared marathon runners actually practice the whole distance even once before the real thing.YOUR = belonging to you (your coat); YOU'RE = you are (I hope you're ok)
really....it's not hard to understand :T0 -
Well said Suzy.....I was too busy drinking wine and eating my tea to answer, but that is exactly what I would have said.
Spud, you seriously need to watch the biggest loser contestants running their marathons.....its so inspiring. And lets face it, I am just aiming to get round, I certainly won't be breaking any records. Just take one training day at a time...Quality is doing something right when no one is looking - Henry Ford

I know, but I just had to understand in my head how far it is. It makes me understand the challenge, more determined I think. I just have to be able to picture it. Maybe I'm a bit strange

We're just trying to catch up with BL now, I think we just started watching the episode before the marathon one.

spud, I know what you mean, when I go jogging I know it's 3 and a half laps of the bit I run, so I keep that in my head and know I'm making progress if it's more than that.

Spud, really glad you've decided to go for it.
Gemmzie, thanks for that link, I'll check it out tomorrow.
Suzy, congrats on the sale!
Well, I didn't get a ticket for Glastonbury, after sitting refreshing for 4 and a quarter hours. So I'll have to think of something else to do to remember turning 30 by, a holiday maybe or festival abroad. I'm now waiting for takeaway, I hadn't planned anything because I'd hoped one of my parents would feed me!Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0 -
There's been a lot about that on the news Elfen....was it an online account? They've just arrested 6 people in connection with theft from online accounts.....thousands has been stolen by hacking into passwords.
Will she get the money back or doesn't she know yet?YOUR = belonging to you (your coat); YOU'RE = you are (I hope you're ok)

That's awful Elfen, hopefully the fraud team can sort it out.
House is starting again tonight, yay! I didn't know about it till I turned the telly on. Hmm, do I open a bottle of wine and settle in for a good night...Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0
