Could someone please explain what a parasite is. I signed up for broadband and when the man came to install it he told me that I had a parasite and it was interfering with my internet homepage. Is this serious and can I get rid of it. Thanks in advance.

Seriously though....I would imagine the installer meant to say Virus and just got a bit mixed up...!
Do some virus checks.0 -
Do a search on 'google' for adaware.
Run the free check from there, better still, download and run the free program. This will find and give you the option to delete any parasites found.
