OK, I just tried opening a Word doc with 'Internet Service Provider' in the text; within Notepad I can find the text formatted as
'I n t e r n e t S e r v i c e P r o v i d e r'
(one space between each letter), and close to the beginning of the file - three lines down, in my case.
If you can do a Find within Notepad for a key phrase or word with the letters spaced out like this....?0 -

Yeah I tried the "Mary etc" as a test and that worked fine. When I tried it in the entry though there was nothing. That particular entry was entitled Christmas Parties or something like that so I thought well it must be about Christmas so tried various versions of the word 'christmas' - nothing. I'm trying an evaluation version of the program suggested above at the moment but I'd have to pay for the full program - not sure if it's stuck - it's got about three-quarters through but Task Manager says it's still running. I'll go cut the grass and leave it then see where it's at later on!Marg

I'm in!!
A program called WORD Key recovered enough of the password through the free demo to jog my memory - now written down in a safe place and once I find out how to get the password off (using Openoffice now - doesn't seem to be the same procedure as in WORD) it'll be history!
Thanks so much everyone - much appreciated :beer:Marg
