hi all,
wasnt sure where to go with this so thought why not let all the techies have a go first!
anyways, its my sisters birthday soon and she needs some speakers for her laptop, just some she can plug and play really.
i dont want them to be too cheapo but then again she wont appreciate (know the difference) of the expensive one's.
so anyone got any suggestions???
i searched on ebuyer but just dont really know what i am looking for.
help much appreciated

Altec Lansing MX5021 are about the best, but cost £100
but as you said she probably will not appreciate them,
Creative speaker are always decent (as long as you avoid the sub £20 bracket).
As long as she is not trying to fill the house with noise I know that the Creative Inspire T3030 is pretty good and costsabout £35.0 -
Logitech X-230 2.1 speakers are excellent They are on Amazon for £23.50 (free delivery) at the moment. Very good quality sound and the subwoofer is great. Can thoroughly recommend them. Discovered you can plug an mp3 player into them as well using the headphone socket. HTH0

i'm looking for a decent setup too...
apparently many people recomend these as the best 2.1 system going:
Acoustic Energy Aego M 2.1 Speakers which are available for about £90 from overclockers
or these Logitech Z-2300 for about the same price....
if price is more of an issue then Logitech x-230 for £23 are an outstanding buy, although some people say there's slightly too much bass...0
