Hello
I'd like to open a HSBC bank account at my local branch but it says No Counter Services available on Saturday. Does this mean I can't speak to an advisor about opening an account?
I work during weekdays and have no means going to my branch so I'm really stumped over what to do.
Can anyone advise?

No counter open means no COUNTER open. Do you need a cashier to open an account? You will be more than welcome to come and open the account on Saturday.
To the people who promoted doing it on the telephone take into account that firstly you are promoting people to use indian callcentres in front of British workers in branches and giving sale to a callcentre people but paperwork etc hassle to branch person so don't expect to high service from branch staff after doing your account on telephone0 -
yes you can. I opened a regular saver on a saturday in branch last year.
I was a current account holder already but I don't think that made any difference, the branch was full of people opening accounts, setting up mortgages etc0
