Bluetooth Car Kit

Hi, can anyone recommend a portable, preferably visor mount bluetooth kit that has a record function. My wife's job requires her to drive about a lot and often she receives calls that require a bit of concentration and if she could record the callers details she could phone back when it's safer and more convenient. I've seen the kind that mount over the rear view mirror and they're not that good to be honest. So if you've got any suggestions i'd be glad to hear them.

I dont know if this is much help but I am sure like when I bought my bluetooth kit on ebay it was the cheapest by about 40%. The sony ones are always pretty good.0

Most visor mounted ones are rubbish as the quality is not that great and you have to remember to charge them up. If there is one with a "record" function then it must be located in the same aisle as rocking horse poo and hens teeth ;o))))0

How about not answering the call at all and then she'd have the callers phone number to ring back? Her employer is duty bound to ensure that she isn't distracted when she's driving during work. She shouldn't be answering the calls at all and if her employer says anything about it a quick telephone call to the local Traffic Commissioner usually sorts that out.0 -

I had a feeling before i asked this question that someone was going to give me a lecture instead of an answer. Hammyman I fully appreciate what your saying and the points your making are fine, however my question was not about whether she should or shouldn't be taking calls, that was why I asked the question in Tech forum rather than the Motoring forum.0 -

Its not a lecture. It is the advice that VOSA issue to employers on their employees taking calls whilst driving.
She should not be taking calls whilst driving, especially if you're saying she has to concentrate on them as much as she says. If she's concentrating on them that hard, how much is she concentrating on driving? Would you rather her come back home unharmed or needlessly answer business calls? Over the many hundreds of thousands of miles I've done in this country, I've seen many people using their mobile phones as they weave all over the road and seen too many near misses.0 -
The point is, i asked if anyone knew of a bluetooth device, not whether my wife should be answering the phone whilst driving. Currently she stops the car calls back and resumes her journey, VOSA guidelines or not bluetooth devices exist for the pupose of answering the phone whilst driving, thousands of people use them daily, whether they are safer or not people can make up their own minds. Can i assume from your input so far that you don't know of any decent units that have a record function0

I have a LG HFB-510 its solar powered so never needs plugging into charge . it wont record but i dont know of any that do.0

Cheers for the reply, she currently uses the bluetooth in the car stereo, and i've seen the cheap rear view mirror one that records a minute's worth and was hoping there be a decent quality version out there. No matter was worth a try0
