Question re: Amazon postage/delivery times

Hi,

I ordered an item from Amazon marketplace on Wednesday morning (cost £138.) I paid the extra £4.99 for the speedy shipping - 1-2 days.

I have received an email today saying it has been shipped today (1 October) by Fed-Ex. So I am not now expecting to receive it till Monday, as Saturday delivery unlikely?

Basically, I am just trying to work out the timescales. I thought that by paying for the faster service when I ordered on Weds, then it would have been dispatched on Thurs, & I would have received today (Fri.)

Can anyone help?

Just a bit disappointed, as it is my birthday present & my birthday is tomorrow! Relatives had given me Amazon vouchers towards the thing that I wanted.

Well I ordered a lead on Sunday and it arrived Tuesday.

The fact it didn't work isn;t Amazons fault. Although I am a bit miffed that I have to return for a refund and re-order, rather than them replace

"Actually your wrong they do deliver on saturdays but you have to pay extra for it and what not. Its not really a normal delivery day but if you dont mind paying abit extra they will.

If you are waiting for a package and payed normal shipping chances are you will not get your package today. The reason it says out for delivery is because internally they do consider today to be a shipping day and your package is moving around to some degree.

Last time fed ex missed me while i was here on a friday i called and they assured me it would be there the next day (SAT) and sure enough, they did come that day and made the drop off"

"Fedex HOME delivers on Saturday. Regular one doesn't unless your shipped chose the Saturday delivery option"
