Ref unwanted prizes

Whichever way you look at it, the rule does not stand on all fours with the rest of the way the site works.
The competition strands work on allowing members to go onto websites, that are not checked by the website, and to enter personal details such as age, sex, address, date of birth etc etc in the hope of winning some prize. No one from the administration of this site can monitor or hope to monitor how that information is collated or used.
The site further actively encourages people to input into their public profile their personal details such as previous employments, location, interests etc.
Therefore to suggest that the site is protecting me by not being able to interact with others on the site is somewhat risible.
I think this site is a great site, but I hope that this particular rule could be looked at again with a degree of common sense.
In reality, other popular sites like Gumtree and Ebay couldn't exist without members of the site having to some extent take charge of their own personal safety, and acting responsibly.

I am in total agreeance with l.m.hart's post, I have sent prizes to other people on this forum and offered them free on posts.
I think saying to stop it completely would mean that everyone will resort to using pm's so the practice will not stop.0 -
Why don't you use a mse group on facebook to share prizes
then it's nothing to do with mse rulesComping & Coupons!0 -
i agree with i m hart, i have given and recieved and its lovely to know that someting has cheered somebody else up if you cannot use it yourself

I agree with the op

I've given and received unwanted prizes on here, but only disclosed my comping e-mail address.
I guess I would say giving your address details to someone on here might be a little precarious, but then again (like has already been said) I give it out willy nilly to lots of companys when entering comps
so whats the difference! 0
