PPI Claim sent to the wrong address?

I sent the PPI reclaim form from this site to Halifax 10 days ago. I didn't read the article carefully enough and didn't notice it said to send the complaint to the branch I was sold the loan by.
I sent it to Halifax's "registered address", which I believe is their head office in Halifax. This is the one printed at the top of all the loan paperwork I have from them.
I sent it recorded and the Royal Mail tracker says "we have your item and it is being progressed through our network for delivery."
Do you think Halifax are refusing to accept the letter? Can they ignore my PPI claim because I have sent the letter to the "wrong" address?

Hi there
That is fine, when they say send to the bank branch that sold you the policy, it is that of their main branch office, so you have done the right thing anyway.;)
Good luck with this. The one and only "Dizzy Di"

They are required to forward complaints on immediately to the central location that deals with them. So, whether you send it to a branch, regional office or head office, it really makes little difference most of the time. It will probably add one day or two at most to the process.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. So what should I make of the fact that the letter has not yet been delivered?0 -

Hi
You could ring the Royal mail for tracking as well, sometimes I note that although the letter have been delivered, it can take some days before showing the status of delivery, you can of course ring the office as well, who should be able to confirm.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"
