hiya everyone
i have just purchased an ipod touch 8gb. ive never owned onebefore so dont know what im doing.
it is a second hand one and still has all the other guys information on it, including his pictures, music and apps.
when i connected it to my itunes on my computer it said it was already connected to another libray which is the other guys.
i dont know what to do. i would like to keep the apps that are already on the ipod.
should i just reset the whole thing? will that make it as though it is a new unused ipod? or do i just changs things
as i sed above ive never had an ipod or iphone so dont know what i am doing or anything and am realy comfused on what to do. it didnt come with an instruction book or anything, all i got was the ipod as he hadnt got any of the stuff that came with it.
please help me

easiest way is just wipe the ipod by letting itunes do it
if you want the nusic etc off then it can be done using another ipod manager program
all the manuals are here

Where do I start..your spelling and punctuation is appalling. Have you brought a stolen unit. Certainly anyone would have removed any personal data. There is no manual, just connect to a PC and install iTunes.0

did i ask for an english lesson?
and no it is not a stolen unit, its from a family friend who has just bought an iphone and decided to sell his ipod.0 -
inorder to get your music on it you will have to erase it.
- plug it into your computer with itunes already installed
- it will ask you if you want to set it up on your computer, select yes
- (this will remove the music apps and photos)
- inorder to get rid of all their data like contacts ect:
- in itunes with the ipod plugged in click the name of the ipod on the left hand side.
- in the screen that comes up click restore and follow the prompts
- now wait until it has done, do not unplug the ipod.
- when it is done on the screen that comes up select 'set up as new'
- then select your music, photos to sync.
If you already have an itunes account you dont need to do this bit:
* I recommend you start by buying a free app (like facebook or angry birds lite) when it asks to sign in click new * account and fill in your details, under the payment option select 'none', and then you are done.
* you can then buy any free apps with that account.
If you want to buy paid apps then I would recommend your buy a itunes gift card rather than use a credit or debit card for 2 reasons- itunes gift cards can be bought cheap argos had £15 gift cards for £10 (that means £5 of apps free)
- itunes has been plagued by 'hacks' where people have had had stuff bought on their account, using a gift card means you can only ever loose what you had left on the gift card and not everything in your bank account
hope that all helps :cool:0
