balance transfers

Options
Martin,
As an avid Transfer Tart, even b4 it became popular, you must be aware that MBNA do charge a fee for balance transfers!

It's worth noting though that you can 'blag' it if you mention thatyou spoke to someone b4 and they agreed to waive it for you !

Good Luck
Neil Lamin

This keeps coming up. The rules are:

    * No transfer fee if you request the transfer on application, but after that you will be charged 2%. There is a cap of £35, £50, or unlimited depending on your particular T&C.

    * The exception is Virgin who should not charge you throughout the 0% period, but then the 2% charge comes in after that.

I haven't tried a blag as my rule is to never fib over financial matters. I can make enough money out of stoozing without taking any risks.

Don't get too hooked on charges of £35 or £50 as on a good limit card your still looking at a profit of over £250.
