Moving Help Please!

Options
Hi we are moving on Monday, this is our 1st move using the removals service and I am not sure what they will take as regards liquids like bathroom products and kitchen stuff like vinegar and cooking oil. We have al lot of mechanincs liquids that we know we have to take but I can't be taking much more in the car as there simply won't be enough room even with the addition of a roof box.

TIA

A x

You should have received a copy of the service contract, which tells you what the company will or will not carry. Failing that give the company a ring.

If you are moving within the UK, they will normally take most things, especially if a crate of beer finds its way into their hands, Bacon butties in the morning normally helps them decided a lot easier
  • Agree with Lee634, if you are moving within the UK you are pretty safe with taking all your liquids, if you are going abroad it will be different, and you will need to check your service contract.

On a UK move they will take anything - I left a banana out on the kitchen worktop for my baby's lunch and it was packed!!:rotfl:

Beware I have also heard of them packing a full kitchen bin!!

Moves abroad have more rules, and stuff like aerosols, alcohol and liquids are not allowed.

If you are doing the clean yourself don't forget to keep your cleaning stuff seperate. If you put everything you DONT want them to take in the bathroom, shut the door, tell the removals guys that nothing in there is to be taken, and put a note on the door too they won't take anything you don't want them to by mistake.

When we did a UK move that was overnight they also allowed us to leave our freezer full, they plugged it in in the removal van overnight, it saved a lot of messing around!
