CIS Endowment and Pension

Hi,
I hope this the right place to post this thread, if not, please can mods move to the appropiate place.
When I was 18, I took out 2 endowments and a pension with CIS. These were paid into for about 4 or 5 years, and then I stopped due to one thing and another. Now since I took these out, I have moved numerous times, and haven't received anything from CIS since 2003. They no longer have my current address details (and haven't since 2002). The 2003 letter was passed to me through 5 or 6 people after I had moved out.
Does anyone know how I can get hold of CIS, to find out what value (if any) the endowments hold, and whats in the pension pot so I can get it transfered or re-started?
I have tried Google, but that seems helpless, only people offer to buy a policy from me.
Thank You

Instead of CIS try googling Cooperative Insurance Society.
They do have a Website and there are telephone numbers on There.
If you wait till tonight, I think I have a free phone number at home which i can dig out for you.
It will be for Car/home insurance but they dont mind putting you through to the correct dept, better than an 0845/0844 number,
Anniemake the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -

There you go. I used to work there, at Chief Office in Manchester. Happy days!******** Never be a spectator of unfairness or stupidity *******"Always be calm and polite, and have the materials to make a bomb"0 -
Cheers Guys!
Thank You0 -
Endowment policies normally have a surrender value only after 2 years. So with 4 years' premiums, they are likely to have a value, but don't hold your breath on the amount!
Pension might be a bit different. Probably 'unit linked' and if so, then units will have been sold every year to cover charges, but again, a small value might be there.
CIS are an old 'home service' company and therefore (not wishing to be unfair) might not have the most attractive bonus rates in the world, but you should find them a very reputable and helpful company.

There you go! Why not take "headbanging" to them personally, and afterwards go for a ballroom dance underneath. Is that still there?0 -
Thanks one and all.
Just got of the phone to them, and I've got some forms coming. Aparently I am owed some money. It may not be much, but I'm sure it will pay for some :beer:0 -

I think the dancing was in the co-op building next door (crs or cws?). My mum and dad used to go there, apparently. The downstairs in the main miller street building is a restaurant for staff, a gym, and then document storage - or it was when I left 17 years ago for mat leave!
My ex husband (who I met there) still works there.******** Never be a spectator of unfairness or stupidity *******"Always be calm and polite, and have the materials to make a bomb"0
