Tara the medium - anyone else heard?

I was getting them too, didn't want to reply as didn't want to confirm my email address. Discovered I can delete them from the server without downloading them to my email and have set that up so I don't get them anymore.
Would be interested to know which site gave them our email addresses as I'm really careful about tick boxes etc. and don't tend to get too much spam and then these came along which are quite disturbing and affect people who may be feeling vulnerable.:j Is MSE saving me money, or making me spend more on all the bargains?!:j0 -
I was speaking to a lady from a dating site a while back, first time I had spoken to her, didn't know anything about her other than her first name. Ended up talking about this due to Derren Brown, she said she believes, and had spent over £300 on phone calls to them..... I felt sorry for her, so I ended up giving her a reading (all made up), she was astounded I got so many details right:
Mother, father, stepfather - names
House number, door colour
The colour of the 2 cars her stepfather had
A few other personal things
At the end I told her, that her loved ones were fine, and that they were telling her to move on, and not to pay for any more readings. Apparently I was the best reading she's ever had, also seen a few 'professionals'. Makes me sick how these people prey on the grieving.
For anyone wanting to know more, the Full facts book of cold reading, by Ian Rowlands is highly recommended. These charlatans need to be stopped.0 -
Me too. I always delete.

That is really interesting - I loved that programme where Derren Brown basically proved how these mediums are charlatans and could actually do better readings than them without being psychic xThank you for this site MartinThe time for change has comeGood luck for the future0

I got sick of them, even in Spam, and eventually tried hitting the unsubscribe button, or whatever it was. Seems to have worked! (Famous last words!) Don't believe in any of that twaddle, especially some computer generated fake spiel, but it's strangely creepy and I didn't want to see her name there.
I have a rather gullible friend who was taken in by her once - dunno if she ever paid any money, but she was desperate to believe things she was being told. Arghhhhh, so frustrating.

Thank you so much for your replies, I'm just glad it's not just me (sorry you're all getting them though lol). I realised it was a con but it upset me because of how bad things are right now. They just keep coming as well. I'll add it to my spam list.
Thanks everyone
