Purchased Faulty Camera :(

I purchased a camera from ebay a few days ago, He/she sent it out very quickly for me. When It came I took a few pics to make sure it all worked ok and then left positive feedback.
I have just started taking my pics and had been using the camera around 15 mins when the pics went blurry for no reason....few mins later it was ok again, washed up then went back to the camera, now it has a line running down the viewing screen
What should I do about this? Should I just leave it and make do with it...after all I did buy a used camera. Or should I contact seller and try and get a refund?Could I do this?

Firstly contact the seller and tell them that the camera has turned out ot be faulty, and ask for a refund. If seller declines open an SNAD claim on paypal on the basis it is faulty.

Just as an aside though, have you checked you haven't jogged a settig or something?

Yes I have checked the settings and used the reset button just to make sure. I feel kind of bad asking for a refund as the camera didnt have the line on the screen when it arrived...Nothings happened to it here so I have no idea why its appeared.
