Extension Plans

Hi Everyone.

I am plaining on having an extension built next spring. I have worked out what we need and have had a rough quote on the prices, but now need to get plans drawn. My local council says i can do these myself and submit them as long as they are to scale. my question today is:

Does anyone now of any cheap or FREE software which is user friendly for drawing plans?

Any advice would be most appriciated.

Thanks

Mark

You can get free trials for most drawing paxkages, but unless you have a basic understanding of how they work, none of them are very straightforward.

Could you not buy a scale rule (they have different scales on them, but find the one that has 1:50 as you will need this scale) and draw them yourself? Then you just need to get 4 copies of them for submission. That would be the simple way to be honest.
