Cant get good compats for them yet so works out expensive if you do a lot of printing.

Thats why the original inks are far cheaper than any other printer. Compats are ok but not allways guaranteed to work with your printer, plus the ink used is generally dye based, which are not good..
So yes if you want cartridges that may or may not work and give poor prints then go for compat or if you want high quality and cartidges guaranteed to work then go for original's.Mansion TV. Avoid at all cost's :j0 -

I have succesfully used JeTTec cartidges, in my Canon printer, for several years. Bought from a company called Britink. First class service, next day delivery. https://www.britink.co.uk
