Does anyone have experience changing landline to Southern Electric package for cheaper rental and calls??????

Its not cheaper though .
Although their line rental is £10.49 a month you pay £1.50p for caller display. Making £11.99p where as BT only charge £11. Also they can stop you dialling cheap call providers like 1899.
Their call rates and packages are not that cheap.

Suggest you leave your line rental with BT. Use https://www.1899.com for your peak geographical calls just 3p a call, and use Primus Saver 2 for free evening and weekend georaphical calls.http://www.planet-talk.co.uk/SaverProducts.aspx?source=saver
