Performance Cars

Options
We're finding it really hard to sell our high spec performance car. Exchange and mart and local car dealers aren't working, I imagine because a family looking for a car are not interested in speed etc. and so aren't willing to pay the price.

Where's the best place to sell these types of cars?

    What car is it?

Have you tried Top Marques? This is Autotraders higher range vehicle mag and website. Assuming it is over £8,000 worth of car.

Also are there any local dealers who deal in performance cars?

Has the car you are selling got an owners forum? If so then you will get a lot of people on the for sale section of that forum.

Cheers for the reply. It's worth about £4K at the moment. Golf VR6 2.8litre engine. It's actually a really good car, but we want a diesel one. It drinks too much petrol to be a commute car, although it's actually better than some fast cars. I've looked on the performance car sites, and it didn't have a for sale section. I've e-mailed them though, so hopefully will get some kind of reply.

Hi, Try Pistonheads (https://www.pistonheads.co.uk) they have a very active community and all adds are free. Lot of demand for VR6 Golfs.

See if there's an owners club and try there.

try volkszone.com, you have to join the forum but v-dubs sell like hotcakes on there, unless you want too much money for it...

Got to agree with Kaya. The VR6 is an easy car to sell, so check your maybe not being a little optimistic for the cars value ref its spec, mileage, service history, paint condition etc.

Not saying you are, but a lot of owners are a little over optimistic on what their car is really worth these days.
