  • Just on first thing in the morning and in the evening, and it has been gloriously warm in my south-facing sitting room today. So sunny the recently-cleaned windows look streaked and unloved! Tonight will be cold so I will put on the heat until I go to bed and treat myself to a cosy end to the day.

  • Off here.

Yesterday, I submitted a reading for my gas (I can submit readings whenever I like, to get a running total) and am amazed how little I've used.

In the last 76 days (since the last bill), I've used less than £47 worth of gas.

Have set the thermostat to 18 and it has come on intermittently during the day today.

I've used the cooker quite a lot today, so the place has felt very warm all day.

I DID put the heating on earlier, but turned the thermostat down a couple from 20deg to 18deg. We had a glorious sunset that lit up the windows and had to close the blinds as it really was 'dazzling'.

Heating went off around 10.00pm, but I'm now 'nicely glowing' - courtesy of a couple of tumblers of Bailey's :rotfl:.

On when I got up but the sun is shining and warming up the sitting room so off until it's needed, maybe this evening. Very thankful that this area hasn't been affected by power cuts, other than a couple of flickers on Christmas Eve.

It is really cold. I ventured downstairs but it is so cold that I have gone back up now and have my blanket on my lap in our office. Just freezing.

I might turn my heating up a bit.

I had changed my settings to the timers only rather than on all day due to being at work and can't sleep well if the heating is on...but am now freezing and have jumped it on before the timer is due. may have to adjust timer to come on earlier in the morning to have the place warmer when I come in from work .

The car was frozen up this morning...the cold weather may be a coming.
Yep...still at it, working out how to retire early.:D....... Going to have to rethink that scenario as have been screwed over by the company. A work in progress.
