Lots of scaremongering on that thread, perhaps it would be best for people to wait until they have some facts? At the moment it would appear that the site is having technical problems, hardly reason to say a company may be going bust.Gone ... or have I?0

Unfortunately lots of other MSE threads report people were expecting money today and it hasn't arrived and CCE are saying an announcement will be made later. They are referring people to their bank, Barclays.
Doesn't look good I'm afraid and 500 quid left my account today!0 -

Statement re: Crown Currency Exchange (CCE)
At the time of writing, International Currency Exchange PLC (ICE) has not been formally notified of any formal insolvency proceedings in relation to CCE and we confirm that we have not taken any steps to place CCE into any insolvency process.
ICE is a supplier of services to CCE but does not deal directly with CCE’s customers. ICE cannot comment on the specifics of agreements between CCE and its customers as ICE is not party to those contracts. It is CCE's responsibility to fulfil its contractual obligations to its customers under the contract between them.
It appears that CCE may have been re-directing traffic from its own website to one of our websites: This is a valid ICE-owned and operated website and any customers using it going forward or that have already used it are effectively dealing directly with ICE and any orders past present or future through this route will continue to be fulfilled. ICE is an independent company and not connected to CCE other than through a third party commercial relationship. ICE is part of the Lenlyn Holdings PLC Group of companies which has been trading since 1974 and is a profitable and well-capitalised group.
Customers of CCE will need to refer any and all queries directly to CCE. Our call centre cannot answer queries relating to CCE and will do no more than read this statement.
For further information, please contact CCE directly on 01736 751627 or 01736 751663 or by Fax: 01736 758148.

Not good times for a company highly recommended by MSE!
alway worth remembering that MSE only tell you about a deal they dont know about any companys future, same goes for the Iceland banks and the fixed gas prices.
Feel really sorry for those affected but cant blame MSE.
there is a thread here for those caught up in this https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/37132922#Comment_371329220 -
I had several good reports about Crown Currency Exchange but I was always nervous to use the service. However after MSE posted their details on the comparison site I thought it would be OK. I now wish I had used my better judgement as I was due £500 in Euros yesterday and it never arrived. All the usual problems of not being able to contact anyone at CCE.
Martin what we need now is some quick advise on what to do to try and get our money back???????0 -
Until it's know what exactly is going on with CCE I don't think that there can be much advice as to what to do next...depending on what is going on, the advice would be different.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0

According to You and Yours (on Radio 4 at the moment) Barclays have frozen their bank account.0
