How will the increased compensation limit influence your savings strategy?

Will anybody be consolidating their savings into bigger chunks up to the new Euro 100.000 limit in January to save hassle, or leaving it where it is if it's on instant access?

Do you think the banks and building societies will be offering more competitive rates to encourage bigger deposits?

I'd definitely move savings together to get a better rate, but wouldn't bother if it was just for the sake of convenience.

I do not even trust the £50k limit, if a couple of big banks went tu we would wait a long time
before we saw any cash .

What will the Government do? Print money to pay out for the defaulters?
