Final pay packet

Hello,

I'm new to the forum so please forgive me if I have posted this in the wrong area or have made any faux pas.

I am leaving my job this month on the 15th and have just been told that I will be getting paid 15/31 of my monthly wage (31 days in october). I am salary paid, but I am contracted to 38 hrs per week on a 5 day week basis, mon to fri. I assumed that I would be getting 11/21 (the amount of working days worked over the amount of working days available in the month).

Could anyone possibly tell me whether this is the norm or not?

Many Thanks

It isn't unusal - it depends on how your employer calculates payroll. Some do it this way, some don't.
