Followed all the advice given to ignore ticket, from last December.Had all the letters from Roxburghe and Grayham White but now had a message on land line to phone Grayham White and also,I think related, a mobile message from a company called SRJ who are debt collectors.

Just keep ignoring. They are just following their usual "lets try and scare the person into paying" scenario.

You will be pleased to know that "Graham White" (aka Michael Sobell) is being investigated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority for sending out these threatening letters and for making these phone calls.

Not new, debt collectors can phone or write but there's a line above which their behaviour becomes criminal (harassment) so you have the upper hand here as you've committed no offence whatsoever. Not sure who SRJ are but they can only be debt collectors or solicitors (big wow!). There's nowt else a PPC can do if they think you owe them money (except take you to Court which Roxburghe don't ever do). They cannot send the boys round!

When they say it's Graham White, it's actually Roxburghe on the phone.

Read about how they pass themselves off as 'GW' on this pepipoo thread by Alexis:

    http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?showtopic=52809

Then when they call say 'so you are passing yourselves off as a Solicitor again are you?'

See what they say and tell them that you know they are just Roxburghe (a toothless debt collector) you've seen how they work and that they are logging this call as passing themselves off as 'GW' (use the initials wisely, as you can see from the above link that's how they log it). :D

Then tell them you will report them for harassment if they do not desist with all contact immediately as there is no debt:

    http://www.nationaldebtline.co.uk/en...=03_harassment

    Finally, tell them
'the alleged debt is denied' so they are expressly forbidden to harass you again and must not contact you in any form. Tell them to send the file back to the originator since the debt is denied.

Or play musak at them, leave them dangling on the phone for half an hour, sing at them, rave like a mad person about Big Brother - whatever floats your boat.

Oh, and don't phone them back, let them keep phoning you and deal with them in the above way when you are ready and annoyed enough with the scammers.

    HTH :D
