Laptop advice - <£400, needs to play games

Hi all,

Hope someone in the know might be able to advise, we've £400 to spend on a laptop, it needs to be able to be used for day-to-day computing, internet, emails etc, but it also (quite importantly) needs to play games.

Any ideas on what spec I should be looking for, or recommendations please?

Thanks all :A

    What games?

You'll need to spend at least double that to get a halfway decent gaming laptop.
It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die

Depends what you mean by play games.

Play games at decent res and some eye candy, you're looking at £600 min. For high res and bells and whistles, its over £800.

If you're happy with low res, details off, then something like the one below might suffice.

wouldn't get your hopes up too high on that graphics card, will probably just about cope with currently released games but little chance of any upcomming stuff running.... but again probably as good as you'll get for the money in a Laptop -a desktop would provide much more power for that money.
