N Power refunds

Just heard on the news that N Power are paying out for withholding information about price increases in the past. Do we leave it to them to find us (I'm no longer with them but was for years) or should I apply for the refund? Thanks. Ooops just saw the Latest MSE NEWS bit.... no worries will follow that link.
