XP has its own builtin tool in explorer or there is http://www.cdburnerxp.se/
Windows is the path to the darkside...Windows leads to Blue Screen. Blue Screen leads to downtime. Downtime leads to suffering...I sense much Windows in you.

Apologies, I am wrong, XP only has CD burning in it, not DVD by the look of it. Take a look at http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/setup/learnmore/bott_03september16.mspx

Having previously installed an Ashampoo product from a computer magazine cover disc, I receive the occasional marketing/spam from them.
Recently they sent me a key for the full version of their Burning Studio v5 (I noticed that this was also on the cover of one of the computer mags this month).
I have installed it (but not used it) and noticed that one of the options was to register for a full key (in the process probably agreeing to them sending their emails).
It claims to burn CD/SVCD/DVD and Blu-ray. Might be worth a look:

    Try VLC

    Available for most platforms.

vlc will allow you to play a DVD.

copytodvd and nero will allow you to burn files to a DVD-r
Save saynoto0870.com in your favorites, and stop giving companies more £££ dialling 0870 numbers when you can dial freephones or cheaper alternatives
call your credit card company, tell them that you want to leave, 99% of the time theyll lower your APR%
