    Back later for an update.

Welcome to the lunatic asylum to any newbies, we're harmless really, very friendly and don't bite:D:D:D

    Hi lovely NSD gang :A
Lots of NSDs rolling in today and another newbie and returnee joining up. Well done everyone, it’s been a great start to October. Keep ‘em rolling in:j

A very warm welcome to all our newbies signing up this month, new people are always welcome to join, we’re a a very friendly, if slightly insane, bunch and a surreal sense of humour definitely helps. We are, however, very serious in our aim to cut down on our spending and are happy to give advice/tips/hints so please ask if you’re not sure about anything. Everyone seems to have more success if they post regularly on here and join in the chat - not sure why, but it seems to work, so please feel free to join in:D

So welcome and good luck to:

Today wasn't a NSD... which I expected due to a doctors appointment. So I also nipped in to the library to pay my fine :o. I can never remember to take my books back in time - even when it's scawled all over my diary and my calendar. :o:o

But the doctors was running late so I also missed the post office and the pharmacy, which means tomorrow's NSD is out of the window too.

So I'm searching the deepest darkest reaches of my mind to check what else I might need to buy so I can squeeze it in to tomorrow (Tuesdays are hectic as I go straight from work to dressmaking class so won't be home before 9 o'clock )

Well done, nicca, you're sounding vey organised this month, we'll get you to target:D
First NSD for me. Off to update signature.

Well done Rachel, great start to the month for you, keep going now:j:j

Well yesterday was a NSD, taking me to 2, unfortunately this only happened due to the fact that i was sat in the smallest room in the house for most of the day with s&d, this morning i went to the doctor who informed me that my bowel is blocked!!

So today is a spend day as i've had to get the pills he says will sort it & have stocked up on the toilet roll offer at c*-0p as i have a feeling that this may well be an essential spend over the next few days!!!

Is it wrong to be lying here with a bucket thinking of all the internet things i need to buy (door frames & skirting board, bus ticket home for dad's birthday & a couple of pressies for that thing in December) so i can do them all today seeing as i've already spent?
Delirious or serious MSE i wonder???? :rotfl:

Good Morning! Thanks Solventsoon - friend had a lovely time and so did I. Must take you forever to read all the posts and do those updates!

Nicca - how is the dressmaking going? I did a class last year and loved it, but don't ever seem to get the time to make anything these days. It's not a cheap hobby either is it?! :o

Hope you feel better soon butdoineedit!

Pleased to report NSD #1 yesterday. I'm still not sure of the validity of saving spends for a day you know you'll be spending anyway like I have (cats will get fed today bless them!), but that said I did resist the vending machine whereas if it'd been a spend day I might not have...

Supermarket today, but hoping to get enough in to keep the rest of the week spend-free!

Not to bad normally, Tete en l'Air, beginning of the month is always busier though:)

You've hit the nail on the head there with the words I've highlighted - unnecessary spends have been avoided - that's the point of the challenge, it makes you think about what you're spending.

    Stick with us...

Well done for no 1, great start to the month for you, keep going now. Will update your total later when I do the roundup.

    Have a great day
