Yahoo mail problems

Hi,
I have a yahoo mail account and for some reason over the past couple of days I have been receiving Yahoo mail failure notices, not just one or 2 but 20-30 a day, but I have not sent anything. I'm really carefull with what I open and the PC has no viruses as far as I know.
Anyone have any ideas?

Haven't had that - but for some reason when I open a new mail message - there is nothing there - just a blank page. If I keep trying and/or switch on amd off it appears eventually. very frustrating.0
