I am trying to transfer some photos from the SD card to my computer but not all the images are showing. I know the photos are there because I can view them on the camera. I have had to take the card out of the camera to make the transfer because I cannot find the cable that links the camera to the USB port.
Can anybody please suggest what I can do to remedy this?

Whilst you have the card out, switch the camera on and see if the pics you can't find are in the cameras internal memory.4.8kWp 12x400W Longhi 9.6 kWh battery Giv-hy 5.0 Inverter, WSW facing Essex . Aint no sunshine ☀️ Octopus gas fixed dec 24 @ 5.74 tracker again+ Octopus Intelligent Flux leccy0

No the camera doesn't have an internal memory. Icons for the missing photos are showing but there is no image.0 -

Try viewing them using irfanview which is a free pc program. It can sometimes see pics that others cant(even windows picture viewer).
Possibly they are a raw format which your camera can decode but you just havent got anything on the pc that will decode them. I think the adobe photoshop site has a raw file converter which is a free download.0 -
The directory structure on cards do not immediately show your pics. Use file explorer and navigate to the SD card, if you see a directory DCIM or similar double click it, you may then see another directory with the name of the camera, double click that, and hopefully your pics are now showing either as a list of numbers or thumbnails depending on how your computer is set up.0

To add to aerostar's post, you may find more than one directory under DCIM. With larger cards, the camera may create another directory when it cannot add any more filenames in the first one, even though there is still space on the card.
